If you’re an energetic explorer whose appetite for travel is never fully satiated, then you’ve probably seen many of the wonderful destinations that the world has to offer. Or maybe you’re new to the world of travel and you don’t know where to go. Either way, there are plenty of destinations you’ve yet to explore.
It’s a large planet, and no single person can explore all of it. That’s a beautiful thing because it means there are always unexplored destinations waiting for you. Perhaps you’ve missed hidden gems in countries you’ve already visited, or perhaps there are beautiful countries you’ve never visited at all.
With this year drawing to a close, it’s time to make some travel plans for the future. These are some of the stunning countries that you should visit in 2020.
Antarctica.
As pictured above, Antarctica is a vast and unconquerable island of ice. There’s something beautiful about the untouched nature of this gigantic place. Seeing wildlife roaming free in an icy paradise is a wonderful thing. Many explorers have struggled to reach this great continent, throughout history, but we’re privileged to be able to visit it quite easily in the modern age.
So, you should make the most of that fact and book a cruise in Antarctica. Being able to see this incredible place in real life will give you lasting memories. It’ll help you to truly appreciate the beauty of our planet. It might even encourage you to change your lifestyle and help to preserve such wonderful places.
USA
A very different nation that you should consider visiting is America. The U.S. would make for a fantastic trip if you’re looking for a sightseeing experience to remember.
New York City, for starters, is a brilliant city to explore. You might think you’ve seen it before in countless TV shows and films, but seeing it in person is another experience. The Empire State Building is beautiful in person, and it offers breathtaking views.
You might also want to visit the city of Seattle to see the iconic Aurora Bridge and other famous landmarks. The Emerald City also has a great art scene.
Japan.
Japan is one of the most fascinating countries in the world. We’ve already talked about two stunning but incredibly different destinations: Antarctica offers wild and unfiltered beauty, while America offers man-made wonders. Japan offers a beautiful blend of the two.
It offers both man-made and natural beauty in a very unique way. Take the glitzy city of Tokyo, for instance. It’s comprised of a ginormous skyscraper cluster which stretches as far as the eye can see. Yet, not too far from the city itself, you’ll find the beautiful natural monument known as Mount Fuji. This mountain of incomprehensible magnitude is not just visually-astounding but also culturally-significant to Japan. It’s a symbol of this great country. Walking up the mountain will give you incredible views for miles, and it’ll also be a rewarding experience for you to remember.
If you’re looking for a slightly different experience in this unique country, you should also visit the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama in Kyoto. You can actually play with monkeys in this intriguing park. There aren’t many places in the world which allow members of the public to do that.
